The history behind our Hurricane cookies originated during the catastrophic Hurricane Iniki that devastated Kauai in September 1992. Access to essential baking ingredients such as flour and chocolate was limited, and our bakers were forced to improvise using any items on hand. Creating a hurricane of our own, we have thrown together a medley of ingredients for a curiously delightful treat.
